  McElhenney, alongside fellow Red Dragons co-chairman Ryan Reynolds, has never shied away from the fact that he wants to bring top-flight football to SToK Racecourse. That goal was outlined from the moment that a stunning takeover was completed in 2021.

  Many scoffed at that suggestion, but three successive promotions have seen the record books rewritten in North Wales. Wrexham are now readying themselves for Championship life in 2025-26.
